Banff/Canmore Dining

I'll be in the Canmore/Banff area around Christmas week.....Looking for a nice place for dinner in Canmore or Banff. Hoping to keep entree cost to about $20-40. I was thinking of Crazyweed, or Quarry in Canmore or Buffalo Mountain or Fuze in Banff. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated (Interested in good food, doesn't matter type....)

Any other dining recommendations would be appreciated.

I was in Banff just a couple of weeks ago. We had an excellent meal at Fuze and the price was around $30 for an entree. If you go make sure you get the Roasted Tomato soup to start.

Another excellent place was Bison Mountain Bistro in Banff. The chef is doing amazing things by putting a gourmet twist on comfort food. Also an emphasis on super fresh, local ingredients. http://www.thebison.ca/

I second the Bison Mountain Bistro. In November they had their "fall special" that was 3 courses for $35 and it was delicious - not sure if they have a winter special.
I was also there for lunch the other day and it was most pleasant as usual. i'm a big fan of the bison burger

I really liked my meal at Crazyweed. Haven't been to the other ones you mention.

I had a good cheese fondue at Ticino in Banff. I don't think the fondue itself was over your price range, but the little extras seemed to add up, resulting in a fairly pricey meal. http://www.ticinorestaurant.com/menus...

I do enjoy the Maple Leaf, Bison Tenderloin....mmm juicy and lots of flavour. Every time has been perfection.

I haven't had the chance to try crazyweed or quarry, but I love Rocky Mountain FLatbread Company. Really tasty, wholesome foods. Definitely more casual, but cozy.
