I have seen many mixed reviews, but no one that I have ever taken to Jaiya on 28th and 3rd is ever disappointed. 396 Third Avenue (at 28 th st.)
My personally favorite is the Chicken Panang. The Pad Thai is good to share, it's a dry pad thai so most people are a little confused because it is usually served with tons of sauce.
It is more expensive then most thai places and the dishes seem smaller hten a few years ago, but it seems to me to be good authetic thai.
actually i like jaiya thai as well although i havent been there in a while...im not actually sure how authentic it is as i'm by no means a thai food expert (i should be since im from LA, but i never took advantage of the great thai food when i was in LA)
its funny that almost every friend of mine of indian decent loves jaiya...its got this south asian cult following
