Dallas - Sprouts - Wine Recommendation [moved from Texas board]

I can't put this on the wine board as most readers will not have the 'Sprout's' organic supermarket chain. So I'll post it here, at least until some confused 'Moderator Nazi' removes it:

Sprouts has an $8 chardonnay that is really solid.

2007 Natura Chardonnay, Casablanca Valley, Chile.

Not as complex as a Grand Cru Meursault, of course, but good value. In the style of full malolactic and peachy fruit. Good with loster and turkey.

Also, tried the Cabernet Sauvignon tonight. Not quite as good as the Carmenere but still good value.

They have a 10% discount on six (mixed or single) bottles.

Thanks for the heads up. Care to share any other value picks you know of around here?

Sprouts has a whole line these Natura organic wines . Tonight, we had the Carmenere. Like the Chardonnay it's very good value at $8. Carmenere can be iffy as it is a slow ripener, resulting in tastes of green pepper like you find in some Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignans. This one keeps the pepperiness under control.
