substitute/recipe for self-rising flour?

Ruth Lafler Dec 14, 2007 09:53 PM

I have a recipe that calls for self-rising flour, so I did a search to find the formula for compounding it myself, and the first three "recipes" I found were all slightly different. Does anyone have a tried-and-true combination?

Thanks in advance.

Yup, as long as you have baking powder to add to your flour, you don't need to buy self rising.

Thanks, all! I made up a batch, so I have some on hand now.
