Hello - I am getting married in Manhattan, but I am not originally from this area... Does anyone know where I can get some good Middle Eastern/Persian pastry's for my wedding? Any suggestions will help!! THANK YOU! Cherielily@gmail.com

The tastiest baklava I've ever had outside the Middle East/Turkey is available in Brooklyn at a Turkish bakery/cafe.

    Gulluoglu
    1985 Coney Island Ave.

It's way out in Midwood, Brooklyn, but very well worth the trip. They can accommodate large quantity orders.

Also in Brooklyn, not far from Gulluoglu, is Mansouras, on Kings Highway betw E 2nd & E 3rd. Closed Saturdays, open Sundays. They make a range of Mid East pastries, quite good.

        Try asking at Gazala Place.
        www.gazalaplace.com

Israeli/Druse, not Persian, but the chef does make pastries.
