Tea in Brooklyn?

Does anyone know a good, not-too-noisy place where you can sit and have an English-style tea in Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Park Slope or around there?

I've been wondering this too. I don't know if you mean a formal "afternoon tea" with sandwiches and petits fours--Sweet Melissa is the only place I know that does that--but I would be delighted with a place that really knows how to a brew a pot of tea.

I don't know about English-style, but Vox Pop on Cortelyou Road (right off the B/Q) has a really nice selection of organic loose teas.

I don't want to get blasted for mentioning places in Manhattan, but for really upscale English tea nothing beats Lady Mendel's in Gramercy Park.

Tazza (on Henry just off of Atlantic) serves a nice pot of tea. It's relatively quiet. They have other treats as well.

sweet melissa is good, but they can get crazy busy at times. not exactly "not too noisy", according to your timing.
