I like spicy food, sandwiches, tacos, and bbq.

Not looking for asian food. Im asian and I am tired of eating the same food.

Oh! And are there any good donut places around here?

Casita Taco al Carbon, corner of Magnolia & Bakman, in the mini-mall just west of Lankershim. Very good and very very affordable.

El taco Llama on Magnolia is good, but there is a stand that opens around 6ish on Troost and Victory that is better.

Holly Donuts on Tujunga and Moorpark has really good sandwiches and donuts. The price and quality of the homemade tasting sandwiches are unmatched.

Caioti Pizza is awsome -- a few doors down from Aroma. One of my top pizza joints in LA...and I'm very picy about my pizza :-)

Pizza in North Hollywood has to be Joe Peeps Whitsett & Magnolia

I agree; Joe Peep's is "Da Place". For Mexican try Que Rico on Victory just west of Coldwater
