Thanks everyone. I'm going to do some 'tastings' and pick the best :)

For that quantity, I'd definitely call ahead. Godiva will definitely be able to fulfill your order but not all locations have them and they make them fresh daily. Ditto for Black Hound.

Black Hound Bakery at 2nd Avenue & 11th Street has scrumptious chocolate covered strawberries. I'd call ahead and pre-order (212 979-9505).

There's also Max Brennners on 8th Street & 2nd Ave but I'm not sure if they have them but they have all things chocolate.

Yes, Godiva... but you'll pay an arm and a leg for them. Dean & DeLuca may have them as well.

Have you tried to make them? It's as easy as melting chocolate chips (good dark chocolate) in your microwave and dipping the berries in and chilling on wax paper. Voila!

Cafe Lalo has amazing dark chocolate covered strawberries but I think they're still closed for renovation. Maybe next year.
