Peppermint Oil?

Does anyone know where I can find peppermint oil (NOT peppermint extract, and NOT oil for your skin)? I've called one Shaw's, one Stop & Shop, two Whole Foods, and two Trader Joe's. No luck. Any suggestions??

    Christine's Spices in Inman Square
Polcari's (I think that is the name of it-on the corner of Salem Street beyond Dairy Fresh) in the North End

Thanks so much! My roommate went to Christina's Spices the day after you posted this and got what she needed! Granted it was $15.71 for a small bottle, but... ;-)

I know this is old, but in case anyone else is looking now (I am), Christina's doesn't have peppermint oil (and didn't sound like they carry it) and neither does Party Favors. I guess I'll be mail ordering from King Arthur.

There is probably a chance that you can get it at the drugstore pharmacy counter.Thats where we used to get it when we soaked toothpicks in it.Duly noted that was probably 40 years ago.

OMG the cinnamon and peppermint toothpicks!! I had forgotten about that lil' slice o' the 70's.

Yep, we got the oil at the drug store.

I saw it earlier this week at Dairy Fresh Candies in the N End. Right near the register, to your left up on a shelf.

If your willing to travel to Sudbury, Duck Soup sells Peppermint Extract.

The original post (from December 2007, BTW) specifies that they are NOT looking for peppermint extract, but for edible peppermint oil - it's not the same thing.

I would assume that quirkydeb, who bumped this old thread earlier today, is also looking for peppermint oil rather than peppermint extract.

Yes, peppermint oil only. I just ordered it from King Arthur, but thank you!

(Duck Soup does sound worth a stop, just to look around (if I ever make it to Sudbury))

I got some from here earlier this year:

                  Great product.

Glad to hear it since that's what King Arthur had.

For anyone who does end up going through King Arthur, I ordered it this afternoon (along with baker's ammonia), and UPS says I'm getting it tomorrow!
