Guy Fieri spotted at The Roosevelt in Phoenix

He was in town to film three episodes;

1. Matt's Big Breakfast
2. Joe's Farm Grill
3. Aunt Lena's Creamery

Saw him last night at The Roosevelt hanging with the owners and the crew from food network. Nice to see our local places getting some national spotlight. I can't find the actual air times for the shows, but will keep looking.

By the way The Roosevelt has the best grilled cheese and tomato soup!!

  1. I either heard on the morning news or read in the article in the paper that it would air in Feb.

    1. A couple of my coworkers went to the Chino Bandito on 19th Ave last night and apparently they were filming there, too.

        wow, I haven't been to Chino Bandito in ages. I grew up with the family. They have a great vegetable quesadilla and the best sincker doodles. It sounds like it may be several different shows because Joe's farm grill said it would be in the spring and Matt's Big Breakfast said it would be in January.

      2. A co-worker tried ordering lunch from Roberto's Mexican on 7th ave and Union Hills, and they said he was there too. Looks like this guy was all over town.

          I saw him in a tortilla at El Nopalito.

          j/k

          I never heard of the guy before today. I wonder effect, if any, this type of exposure has on a local food scene?

            he's on the food network - he won year before last's contest to be the next food network star, has a show 'guys big bite', and one other - 'diners, drive-ins, and dives' which i actually kind of like. his cooking show is kind of lame, i think. however if he says 'thats money' on the air one more time i may have to hurl ;)

            good for matt and ernie tho - they couldn't be nicer people and both their places - matt's big breakfast and the roosevelt are the bomb.

            i think it'll be good. i never cease to be amazed by people, tourists or otherwise, who think of phoenix as anything more than a dusty western town.
