If you know what beigli is - click here
Hi there,
Anyone know where to get the best, or make that, any Hungarian beigli in the LA/OC area. I know Otto's Hungarian deli carries it. Anywhere else?
For the curious, beigli is a traditional Hungarian Christmas time dessert. It is a long roll filled with either a walnut or poppy seed filling. It is delicious.

Thanks in advance.

my mother used to make this all the time. she is now 89 and stopped cooking. she is ukrainian and this is common in that culture. shreiners meats in montrose used to have it, though i would not vouch for the quality. also have seen it at many armenian/russian places like jon's market. would love to know what you find out.
(ps: i'm also a "vlad")›2 Replies
