Gourmet Popcorn

My wife has decided that she wants to scour the city looking for gourmet popcorn tins for the holidays. So far she has not been happy with the stuff she has found online. Her first stop is Eli's Vinegar Factory because they supposedly carry "PopNots" half-popped kernels. I'm looking for some guidance on where to find gourmet popcorn in Manhattan.

If you're looking for cheese or caramel (or the two mixed together, Chicago style), you can't do any better - anywhere, in my considerable cheese corn experience - than Garrett's Popcorn. They have two locations - 34th between 7th and 8th, and 46th & 5th. Decorative tins are available, too.

Dale & Thomas (several locations in the city) is not bad but not nearly as good as Garrett's. However they offer a lot more flavors for the non-traditionalist.

Thanks, Striver! That sounds perfect. We actually found Dale & Thomas holiday packs in our local supermarket here in Harrisburg, PA. Haven't heard of Garrett's, so we'll definitely check that out.
