Hollywood Area Funky Restaurant

vortex Dec 12, 2007 04:48 PM

I'm looking for a funky restaurant in the Hollywood area that would be great for a small office party. Any ideas out there?

LOU on vine above melrose is cool(or was a short while ago), tapas and good wine selection, it's hidden in a mini-mall. Funky? Yep.

Cha Cha Cha, in West Hollywood or Silver Lake, though I prefer the latter.

          funk·y (fŭng'kē) adj., -i·er, -i·est.

          1. Having a moldy or musty smell: funky cheese; funky cellars.
          2. Having a strong, offensive, unwashed odor.

Actually, there's quite a few places I could suggest ... but for an office party?

The Velvet Margarita for sure! Not sure about the size of your party but I know they have a private room upstairs. Usually very busy on weekends and they take reservations a week in advance (at least, I think). Aside from funky, the food is pretty good too.

              Heh, how funky?

Citizen Smith and Velvet Margarita offer food and are off-the-charts funky.
