l

Hello, I am interested in joining the world of mushroom hunting. Ive been reading books about identifying mushrooms, but i wouldnt trust my skills enough to eat anything i could find. If any experienced mushroom hunters in vermont would like to gain an apprentice in the spring/summer/fall of '08. I would even be willing to pay you for hunting lessons. Reply to this post if youre interested. Thankyou

I'm a lifelong mushroom forager (and vegetable farmer) here in Barre, Vt. I sell mushrooms at the Montpelier Farmers Market on Saturday, and occasionally conduct mushroom walks. One will be next Sunday, Aug 31 at the Chickering Bog in East Montpelier. My email is lepagefarm@yahoo.com. I charge $50. Most of the participants fees are donated to the local community radio station, WGDR, on which I have an early Sunday morning talk show with my friend Padma Meier (wgdr.org - our website) . . .
