Does Ki have a quiet little table for two?

Googs Dec 12, 2007 10:46 AM

Hubby & I are going to Ki for dinner. Would like to use my indoor voice for conversation. Any nice little quiet, romantic tables there?

We went last night. You can, indeed, get a quiet table on a Saturday night. We had a great time and will definitely be going back. More on this later.

I haven't been there in a while, and only on Thursday and Friday nights, but I couldn't imagine a quiet table is even theoretical on those nights. I fled early, temporarily deafened, and with a headache, on all occasions.

Since we're on the topic of Ki, does anyone have a recommendation of what to order? I've seen the online menu - lots of interesting sounding rolls, but I was particularly intrigued by the escolar. Any opinions/other suggestions?

There's quiet tables around the back. As long as it's not Thursday night when it's so busy there I don't think even the quiet tables are quiet.

I've never been to Ki on a Thursday night but i've heard stories about "working" girls.
            Anyone know if that's true?

lol, I never heard that, but I wouldn't be surprised - but then again who needs "working" girls? There are enough willing nonworking girls there on the hunt for suits.

I'll have to check it out one Thursday night. Sounds like dinner and a show!

(I love this one.) So then it's buy her a little sushi then try and get her into the sake?

Thanks everyone. I guess we'll go in full on party mode.

I agree...I have only been there a few times but had a quiet table once: 10 minutes before last call on a Firday night. It definitely is no a quiet venue!

Saturday night has been quiet the couple times I've gone. Monday to Friday all the bankers are there blowing off steam but they seem to clear out for the weekend.

Why don't you call them and request one?
