Tried this place last night on the way home from helping some friends move and it's was around 8, so we saw this place on Hyperion and it looked cool so we stopped in.
Again it's 8 on a Tuesday night and we were only 1 of 3 tables eating and 1 of the tables was the owner and his friend( more on the owner/Mgr in a bit).
We were pretty hungry after moving boxes so some wine and good pasta would hit the spot but $100 bucks later we were left with our jaws on the ground.
I ordered the pasta with bolonegese and it was a bowl of squishy(far from al dente) noodles in a dry oh so very dry ragu sauce with no flavor. My wife ordered the special which was shrimp raviolis which was served with a 3 stick of butter orange colored cream sauce, the ravioli for sure from a frozen bag. SO we came to the point where we just ordered a couple glasses of house reds and called it a night apparently so did the mgr., they locked the doors after taking out the trash through the dinning room (our meals had just arrived ) which wasn't too cool they could've waited till we left. Then the Mgr. sits one of the chefs/cooks down and fires him while we're still there no more then a table away. I'm glad he was fired after we ordered thank god.
At that point we got the bill for $100 bucks not sure where we spent it and longing for Colori kitchen back in our hood in DT.
Oh by the way they still have tables open for NYE.

That's $100 for two pastas and two glasses of house red? Ouch. Sorry that our 'hood let you down; try Aroma on Sunset, Michaelangelo on SLB, Farfalla on Hillhurst, or Cappricio on Vermont for better results. Though I never want to visit unemployment on someone two weeks before Xmas, sounds like the cook should have been booted earlier. Chowpatty's report on this place when it changed hands and names was unpromising, and I haven't heard back from anyone since saying that it had now become a destination place.
