ISO the best christmas cookies in Chi

    It's not in Chicago, but it was in Hyde Park for many years. The owners retired to Union Pier MI and sold their recipes and name. The cookies and lebkuchen are great--just as the used to be. You can order by mail or phone--they don"t have a web site.

      I don't know if they're the best in Chicago, but I have two bakeries I turn to for cookies f(if I'm not making my own):

      Fox & Obel (445 E Illinois) or Delightful Pastries (5927 West Lawrence)

        I had some of Delightful Pastries cookies on Saturday and they were fantastic. (I'm sure Fox and Obel's are good, too.)

        Bittersweet in Boystown? They do lots of great cakes/desserts....I'm sure they may do cookies
