I've tried cakes from almost every bakery, but I love the regular almond wedding cake style from Swiss Confectionery. What does everyone think is the best cake in Nola?
have you tried nola cakes on chartres in the marigny? i got a carrot cake from there recentl. very good. looking forward to trying others.
Totally agree with the New Orleans Cake Cafe & Bakery. Steve is also known as the "Cakeman," and with good reason. His red velvet cake has knocked a lot of socks off.
Cakeman's good stuff, so is Swiss (my gold standard for bakery birthday cakes). I like O'Delice (Magazine St near State), and the pandanus leaf cake from Dong Phuong is tasty. Flour Power is definitely worth a mention.
