Good Lunch Spot

Hi -

Going to be in Chicago (downtown) on Thursday and looking for a good lunch spot, Italian would be great but just looking for good food which is sometimes hard to find during the lunchtime hour. Have eaten at Cafe Spiaggia which was great, any other choices along this line would be appreciated

Coco Pazo on W Hubbard & Franklin is a favorite. Coco Pazo Cafe on E Ontario also good, but I like the restaurant better. Shaw's Oyster Bar is also a good one that I frequent on Hubbard and Wabash (lower level). When I worked on East side of Loop we ate at Aria in the Fairmont a lot and I really like it, but it's expensive.

Coco Pazzo and Cafe Spiaggia are my favorite upscale Italian restuarants in the city (and both are convieniently open for lunch).

Trattoria No. 10 is also good, and a little more convenient if you will be in the loop.

      Just opened at Bin 36:

      A Mano
      335 N. Dearborn St
      Chicago, IL 60610
      (312) 629-3500

It has a pretty inexpensive lunch menu for the area, with pannini, pastas, and pizza, and if you don't like what you see there, you could always move upstairs to Bin 36 for some cheese and wine.

Another favorite for lunch, a little bit to the north, is Quartino.

I have eaten at Topo Gigio a few times for lunch and have never been disappointed. It's a little further north than the loop on Wells.

Cafe Spiaggia is pretty hard to beat. Coco Pazo and Bice are ok.
