Texas De Brazil / Miami Beach / 2Nite

Will have the opportunity to dine at the new Texas De Brazil on Alton Road in Miami Beach tonight....Have entertained more than 100 clients at the TDB at the Dolphin Mall over the past two months and have been invited to eat at the new location in Miami Beach this evening with three associates....their treat!!

Of course I now realize that TDB is Brazilian...Duh!....Thanks to Frodnesor for reminding me of that...even if many of the employees are from Argentina!.....At least I did have the spelling right on Novicentro....located on Brickell....great place too!!....

Should be a MegaMeatExtravaganza this evening......I like TDB....My customers...most of which are from outside of Florida and from Europe think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread!!....We'll have fun there....we always do!!......And nice of them to recognize who their better clients are and show some reciprocal hospitality......Just hope I can find a place to park!!....300 Alton Road........

Which branch of Texas de Brazil turns out better-quality food - Miami Beach or Dolphin Mall?

Take a trip...come to the Keys

Try Braza Lena in Islamorada. Great Chefs there. Superb Service. Just the antipasti is worth comming for.

      Eat well

I've eaten at quite a few of these Brazilian restaurants. My head and shoulders favorite it Chima in nearby Ft lauderdale...generally higher quality meats.

If you enjoy the Brazilian rodizio, I'd rezlly recomment doing a beef road trip..:)

I may be crazy but I actually did not love chima - maybe they had a bad night. I liked grimpa better.

We ventured to the new Texas De Brazil at 300 Alton Road last night...They really haven't had their grand opening as of yet....We were invited guests of the management....The place has a very similar decorative motif of the other location at the Dolphin Mall.....Overall....the place is absolutely huge....complete with private dining rooms and very, very large bar area.....Big investment for sure.....When we arrived at 7 p.m. the place was virtually empty....promptly seated and the meat started rolling....The first two or three waves were overdone...and that's because the meat was prepared and diners hadn't arrived.....That changed quickly however....and from there the meat was done properly...hot...tasty....and as expected.....As you might expect from a new restaurant...there were some confusions as to who delivers what and to whom...but that was also rectified quickly....Overall the meat was very, very good and the selection was outstanding.....I don't go to a Texas de Brazil for salad...but that salad / cheese / sushi bar was nothing less than spectacular.....Different salads....seared tuna...beautiful sushi....prosciutto (sp?)...and much, much more.....Big "Wow Factor" there.....

My hope is that this place "makes it".....It's in a place where other restaurants of note have failed....They've put a huge investment into this place.....It will take some serious marketing to get the amount of diners in this place it takes to keep it afloat.....And finally...they need to get their sign put up out front....that might help!

Umm .. on that spelling ... not quite right either - Novecento. If you won't believe me, believe their website.

Have you tried Il Porcao in the 4 Ambassadors, and if so how would you compare it to Texas de Brazil?

That's what their website says....indeed....But my credit card receipt from eating there last week says otherwise....Ohh...what a tangled web of intrigue we weave!.....But really like the place...We tried to have our Christmas party there this year....but it took days and days for someone there to return our inquiring call....and by then we had to make a decision on another place and we made it!.....A real shame!

I have eaten at Il Porcao in the 4 Ambassadors two or three times....but it's been some time ago...years actually....I liked it very much...as it was a different concept at the time....Our company had its first-ever Christmas party there and everyone really enjoyed it.....Wow!...I haven't thought of that place in a long time....Have you eaten there recently?....Still open?....Still good??.....Please enlighten!

One thing that I'll give the folks at Texas De Brazil.....They know who their good customers are....They routinely e-mail discount coupons to me.....When entertaining somewhat large groups of clients (20-30+) they've really bent over backwards to accommodate.....And it's an ideal place to entertain groups because the meat is ready to go and at the table when you flip the card to green.....
