Lunch on Christmas Eve

chiefscout Dec 11, 2007 11:04 AM

Looking for a decent downtown lunch spot for Christmas Eve. Our usual suspects, JK Wine Bar and Pangaea are closed. Should be reasonably upscale but not too brutal.

Any good ideas?

Thanks for your suggestions. JK at the Gardiner is open and we are reserved there. Odd that the lady on the phone did not mention it.

Thuet would also be a good option. Next year...

Asian restaurants are usually open. I would think Lee Wah Heen would be open. Especially because it's in a hotel. All of Kensington/Chinatown. I'm actually surprised that a place like JK Wine Bar would be closed for lunch on Christmas Eve. I would have thought they'd be open until at least 2 or 3.

Have you checked if JK Gardiner is open then? My guess is that it would be with the holiday museum crowd in the area.
