I have not put this into use, but from lifehacker.com comes this news:

"Restaurant search site FoodieBytes takes a more detailed approach to helping users find a place to eat. Rather than type in a general cuisine and neighborhood, FoodieBytes asks for specific dishes you like, or restrictions like gluten-free or vegetarian you may want, and finds the restauarants that offer them."

The site has menus indexed in Washington, D.C and also with Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco.

What a great way to find a place to eat when you have cravings. It would be a great resourse if they completed a database of the food at each restaurant. You could search for the best, say, oyako donburi in the area. I love the idea of rating each dish at restaurants since they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
