Imperial Tea Court closing its flagship store
Imperial Tea Court will soon close its original store on Powell Street near Broadway in the face of increased rents. It's something of an institution, having been around for nearly 15 years, and will be missed because ITC's three "boutique" outlets are not the same serene and inviting places, IMHO.

Bummer. Wonder if they'll be moving the old men, mahjong tiles, and the bird cages to the Ferry Building store? Sigh, probably not.
