Seafood near Carnegie Hall?

We are going to a show Friday at Carnegie Hall and want to grab dinner before. Are there any good seafood places near it?

    1. re: bronwen

Redeye Grille which is practically across the street.

    2. Molyvos is right around the corner from Carnegie Hall. We haven't been to there in ages, and I don't recall having fish or seafood there. But Greek restaurants do have a way with both, especially whole, grilled fish, so you might want to give it a try. (Note: Acc. to their website, they offer a pre-theater prix-fixe for $36, and grilled fish is one of the main course selections.)

      1. Shelly's is nearby (same company that runs Redeye Grill) - they also have a raw bar and I think they still have live jazz downstairs. Not sure if one is better than the other.

        1. Depending on what you consider nearby-we often go to Aquavit Cafe before Carnegie concerts.
