Mexican or American in Paris/France

I've never been to France, but I am curious about if there are any Mexican or American type restaurants in Paris or even France for that matter.

There's a nice little Peruvian restaurant on a side street just off the rue Monge. It was very good, very different, and the closest thing to good Mexican food you're likely to find.

When I lived there, I missed mexican food a lot. But the options there, they just didn't do it for me. Basically, I missed cheap California style burritos, but not to the point that I was willing to pay 12-15 euros for one (even in 01, when the exchange rate was good).
I did once go to a relatively authentic, Mexican (not cali, or tex-mex) place near Les Halles/Beauborg. Good, but not fantastic (certainly not something I made an effort to remember).

I don't know why you would want any Mexican or American type places but they exist. The best in my opinion is Coffee Parisien. This is the only place in Paris where you get a Stewart's rootbeer as far as I know. There apple crumble is really top-notch but at 8.60 you might as well buy a dessert at Pierre Hermé. These places are really only worthwhile if you are a very nostalgic American living on the continent or a shalala parisienne.
