Wish = Wonderful
I feel bad! I've been meaning to go to Wish (on Charles, just east of Yonge) for years now but for some reason have never made it there. My man and I went a week ago for a drink and the place packed! We'd already had dinner at that point, but the food smelled so good we were almost ready to eat again! So...we put Wish on our (dare I say it?)
wishlist. We went last night with two friends and I must say we had an amazing time.
What did we have? Scallops, shrimp cocktail, endive salad and calamari for apps & chicken, black cod, pickeral and duck for mains. Desserts looked interesting, but we were stuffed. The meals were not only amazing, they were quite substantial in size as well. I'm not like some of you who remember each and every ingredient in the plate - all I know it we were VERY HAPPY with everything and want to go back soon! Service was very good as well. Everyone was so nice, and seemed happy to be there. If you haven't yet been you should check it out!

Thanks for that. I should go back. I haven't been in three years. I found the portions, for the price, perhaps a bit smallish, but the overall quality was quite good, as was the service. The wine list was, as I recall, short and otn terribly interesting (but, not bad, either) - has that changed?
BTW - nothing in your blog!

When we were there last Saturday the portions were quite substantial considering the quality. So much so that we were too full for dessert, which rarely ever happens! The wine list was smallish, but the mark-ups were good. We had a Lilly Pilly sauvignon blanc for $34, which is very good. Can't wait to go back!
