hi! i've lived in little tokyo for over a year and sometimes need a quick meal. tried rocket pizza when they first open: service is rude and inconsistent - vowed never to go there again. capperi restaurant pizza is too expensive. pizza buona in echo park is sometimes too soggy. does anyone have any other suggestions?

"Next Door Pizza", which I think is also now known as "New York Pizza Next Door" (8th St between Flower and Figueroa, south side of street) is pretty good, though I don't know how late they stay open.

Los Angeles Pizza Company, on Figueroa right before the on ramp to the 110 N. I thought the pizza was pretty good and you can get them by the slice.

I've ever been because they aren't open for lunch but, this place is just over the bridge on 1st: http://www.eatpurgatorypizza.com/

Have you tried Pit fire? on 2nd and main, great pizza and pasta.
I too like next door and LA pizza company too.

Big Mama's and Papa's has good pizza and as an added benefit they make the Russian (Georgian?) Khachapouri (check out the menu with photo to see what Khachapouri is).
