Ame-what not to miss?
Would love to hear what dishes you thought were the standouts and why. I'm going at the end of the month with a friend, and want to hit the high notes.
Also I'd like to hear if the food works together if you order from the Japanese and the European. Seems like they would clash.
My group enjoyed nearly everything from the sushi-esque starters. I particularly enjoyed "lisa's staff meal," which was cuttle-fish "noodles" with a quail egg on top.
IMO, skip dessert.
You can definitely order from both sides - neither is so extreme that they don't mix. Favorites - the black cod and the korabuta pork chop. I don't even like pork but that pork chop is phenomenal.
I had a wonderful meal at Ame last summer. Everything we had, including dessert, was very innovative and tasty. I notice that a lot of the items we had are no longer on the menu. A couple remaining items that's worthy of ordering: Black Cod and Ocean Duo.
