Brewing beer, curing meat, or making cheese? Get great advice

We will be up in the Hackensack area this weekend. I remember a great Diner on Essex north of downtown Hackensack. Great RI clams on the half shell and baked Virginia ham. My wife had shrimp cocktail and a Lobster dinner.It was quite cheap. And good!
I tend to remember reading about a relatively inexpensive restaurant serving dry aged beef located in northern New Jersey. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
If not, can you recommend any good American or Italian places in the Fort Lee to Paramus area? Gosh, one day and one place to eat.Thanks!

    You would love Di Palma's on Kennedy Blvd., North Bergen which is just a few miles south of Fort Lee. Huge portions of very authentic southern Italian food. It's a BYO.
