I have a Holiday dinner party planned for tomorrow. 3 foodie couples - each brings a dish or two. Here's the menu thus far:
Appetizer (need help...keep reading)
Main: Beef Tenderloin
Side: Roasted asparagus with proscutto & roasted potatoes
Dessert: Pumpkin mousse, apple pie.
I thought I'd seen a great looking recipe for a onion-broth fondue as an appetizer, but now can't seem to locate it anywhere. I liked the idea of a fondue appetizer as we sit around with cocktails. Any suggestions?
HMK - do you have a good fondue pot? The only reason I ask is that I once had this notion. and I bought my pot from Crate & Barrel- just the one with the candle in the bottom, you know - and my fondue cooled too quickly...could have been user error....
it was glue and we ended up rolling it into balls and eating it.
you could, instead, use the humble small crock pot/slow cooker...
Who doesn't love fondue? yum!
