Veg-Friendly near Radio City Music Hall?

spyturtle008 Dec 7, 2007 09:18 AM

Looking for some tips on any veg-friendly spots to eat for a late lunch / early dinner near Radio City Music Hall. I'd rather not end up at a chain, and unfortunately don't have a ton of time to nose around online (just found out I'll be going there tomorrow). Any hints would be much appreciated!

La Bonne Soupe, on 55th St., b/t 5th & 6th Avs., is a charming French bistro with lots more on the menu -- including veg-friendly options -- than just good soups.

You may be able to catch Moishe's Falafel. It's a cart at 46th and 6th, but don't be fooled by the street cart idea, the falafels are incredible. Light, yet very filling.

If you have a little time and don't mind a little bit of a walk, Zen Palate is on Ninth Ave at 46th. Bunch of Thai places over there too.

Zen Palate is awful. But Zenith is nearby, on 48th between 8th and 9th (closer to 8th). Zenith is vegetarian asian, and much tastier than ZP, especially the soups. Try the non-dairy chocolate truffle cake whether you're vegan or not.
