Magnolia Bakery Recipe

Has anyone tried the magnolaia bakery cake recipes? I am looking to bake this weekend and thought it may be a good idea.

FYI, I also "cheat" when I'm short on time and use a packaged (fudgy) chocolate cake mix...with the MB filling recipe and baking times, etc. Comes out great!

Silicone cupcake pans work great for either version.

I've used their cupcake recipe and put it into cake pans. I just bake it for a little longer. A cupcake is just a mini-cake after all....

I've never tried making their cake recipes, but I've eaten their cakes at their cafe many times (used to live 3 blocks away) and they're very good. I make a cupcake based on their famous cupcake recipe which comes out great.
