Help! - not too sportsbar-ish place to watch Steelers game Sunday

For his birthday, a friend has requested to get a group together to watch the Steelers NFL game on Sunday. I don't think we can watch it at one of our homes, since the networks will probably show the Jets game instead. So.. that leaves a sportsbar/restaurant that will be showing this particular game.

Here's my question - several of us (out of 6 total) are not exactly football fans, and would prefer to just enjoy the company of our friends and hopefully have some fairly good food (better than typical bar fare). Can anyone think of someplace other than a typical sports bar that will be more enjoyable (in terms of food, atmosphere) for non-hardcore football fans.

I heard Hill Country shows NFL games downstairs. Has anyone watched games there? Several of us are big BBQ fans.

    1. You could try Slainte(pronounced slahn cha-Irish for cheers) at 304 Bowery(E 1st St). Has plenty of TVs, but definitely not a sports bar. Never seems to be too crowded, and nice laid back place. They have a menu, but I've never eaten anything beyond wings there. It's down in the East Village, so if the food doesn't sound good, so plenty of good, affordable options close by.
