Report: Pampas in Everett

Johnresa Dec 6, 2007 06:25 PM

I went to Pampas in Everett last night and said I would report back so here goes. The entire restaurant was empty except for me and my DC and it was around 6:30 or so so i figured that to be a bad sign...well it was not. The food was great. I enjoyed almost everything I tried. The buffet had most of the the usual suspects(collard greens, garlic rice, farofa) but also had other things I had never tried(chicken lasagna, sauteed pork, rice with beef). I enjoyed all that I tried especially the pork which was so delicious I went up again just for that. They had the usual cold salad bar items(beets, cukes, tomatoes, potato salad) and they also had a lovely caesar salad and decent coleslaw. For meats I had chicken wrapped in bacon, pork, medium rare sirloin, and chicken hearts. The meats were all very delicious except for the pork which was very dried out and surprisingly bland. They had a variety of juices and desserts to choose from but I was way too stuffed to have dessert. Next time I will order their banana boat...lol. All in all it was a good experience.

Thanks for the report - this is on our list of places to try, and having the positive feedback moves it up in priority. It sounds like they could use the business, too.
