Roma Restaurant/Pizzeria on Bloor

I had lunch here today.....I ordered the Pizza Roma Delux as suggested on this was probably the worst Pizza I have ever eaten....but I didn't eat it all...the toppings were so awful that I scraped them off...should have ordered a Marguerita...only tomato sauce ,mozzarella and basil....bacon was fatty and cold pepperoni was slimy and tomato sauce was way too salty...waitress told me the specials of the day one was eggplant parmigianna....should have tried that...also place was almost empty...but wanted to try the Pizza...never go back...close that door....Miranda

Pizza Roma has been a Toronto institution since the 60s. Unfortunately Restaurant Makeover got to them, and tried to gentrify the place. Not sure how well that is working out.

Their signature dish is actually the Panzerotti, especially the Seafood Panzerotti. These are amazing. I liked the old way they served them, covered in sauce, now they leave that up to you as the sauce comes on the side.

I can understand Miranda's review, but even if the restaurant suggests Bacon and Pepperoni on a Pizza, that sounds like a bad idea. I've been ordering the same Pizza from Roma for about 15 years now ( Black Olives, Feta Cheese, Anchovies, and Jalapeno peppers ) Thin crust, and not drenched with sauce.

Roma does a few things amazing, not sure about the weird additions to the menu, and the bad ideas that Restaurant Makeover put on them. I love this place, and when I'm in Toronto will always have a couple of their Panzerotti. Not in the same sitting the Panzerotti they make is huge, one is a big meal.

I've never eaten at Roma but we order pizza from them fairly regularly. I like it. Is it the best pizza in the city? No, but it's good, especially for delivery.

I have been ordering the seafood pizza with cream sauce for quite a long while. This place makes that pizza so good that I put them with my top 3 favorite pizza places in the GTA. They do have new ownership, but I have eaten here twice since then and there has been no loss effect on quality IMHO.
