Is this place worth the hype in terms of beer and brew selection?

The selection of beers, of course at the Belgian bar, was very impressive. Food that we had was nothing spectacular but as said below- above average. Belgian bar should have more traditional fare- possibly mussels/frites? not sure why not.

My only grief was the service. It was hit or miss at both bars but they were absolutely not the most friendly bunch. Seemed attentive but not all that into their gig.

Definitely. My only mistake lately was going at 11:30 on a Sunday w/ Chowpup who takes a nap at 12:30 or so. I totally missed that they didn't open til later and started serving 1/2 hr or so after opening. I didn't even manage to get a beer before we had to leave.

Do better than I did, and be sure to go upstairs.

Brickstore is great - I highly recommend - plus the food is on the high end of pub grub

Yes. Be sure to visit the Belgian Room upstairs.

From one Yankee fan to another, YES! I love that place.
And the food is good too.
