Near Marriott Starr Pass?
We have ten family members coming in for a birthday celebration. Some will be staying at Starr Pass, so we are looking for dinner spots nearby. Group includes two small children and two elders (hence loudness is a problem). Everyone has been to El Charro, so we are looking for new places. Has anyone sampled the Southwestern (not Primo...it's too expensive) place at the Marriott? Any other suggestions for a festive evening that isn't too expensive or formal?

The Signature Grill at the Marriott is only barely "Southwestern," although I love their Jalapeno Cornbread Salad. It's less expensive than Primo, but more expensive than El Charro (call to see if they still have burgers and pizzas, which are very good and kid-friendly). I think Poca Cosa might fit your bill. If you go early it shouldn't be too loud, and it's just a few blocks from El Charro. Cup Cafe is nearby, too, and we like the food even though it's not very "Southwestern." Check out their web site for sample menus. Good luck and have fun!
