Does anyone know where I can eat a traditional Mexican dish made with Mole Pepian (pumpkin seed mole)?
Taqueria y Fonda has a great pipian sauce- it's on Amsterdam somewhere near 108th st.
Tulcingo has a wonderful version. Here is a link to the Village Voice's praise for their pipian: www.villagevoice.com/nyclife/0405,sietsema,50715,15.html
Oh, and here's a place in Brooklyn http://www.villagevoice.com/nyclife/0...
Thanks - gonna try this week!
Went last week...it was delicious. Also had the spicy chicken soup. The place is a winner!
I had this at Festival Mexicano - a hole in the wall (though delicious) little mexican joint on the Lower East Side. Try the chicken soup - very good!
