Emergency SF/Financial District Fine Dining Recommendation Needed

I and and several of my colleagues are in San Francisco on business and my boss has asked that we find a nice restaurant to dine at tomorrow night (Dec. 6). We're staying in the Financial District and would probably like something relatively close. I'd say that a place that is NOT a chain would be ideal, and a place that has vegetarian options in addition to primarily meat options (at least one person is not into veggies at all!). Plus, we need to accommodate 6-8 people. Any great suggestions off the top of your heads? Thanks!

I highly recommends Sens, lovely dining room and easliy can meet your needs. Went there recently for a biz dinner, relaxing and nice service.
Sens: 4 Embarcadero Center (at Sacramento and Drumm), 362-0645. Financial District. Southern Mediterranean.

For 6 to 8 people, use Opentable.com for the financial district.

We could recommend any number of places, from Perbacco to Town Hall, but it sounds like availability and proximity are your main criteria.

Opentable.com is the way to go.

I like Rubicon myself as a solid "go to" spot in the financial district, but it's been a year since I've been there.
