Bourdain at an Oakland taco truck

What's odd is that while he talks about the glory of pork, he's eating carne asada.

Were they out of al pastor?

The last bit was from Mi Grullense, in the Goodwill parking lot. I think the carne asada is the thing to get at that truck. Al pastor wasn't very good when I ordered it there.

I found this other link that lists exactly what he ordered at both trucks. http://www.ibabuzz.com/allyoucaneat/2...

Great article, I especially love that his daughter eats "imported prosciutto-flavored baby food, rabbit, wild boar, parmesan."

He's lurking around here in Hawaii, up on the North Shore this afternoon to be exact. He's here until at least Tuesday.

Ack! I can't believe Tony Bourdain went to an Oakland taco truck without the nationally acknowledged expert on Oakland taco trucks! I'm crushed!

and if indeed he somehow had his al pastor and his asada confused, he needed your expertise! What a missed opportunity for Mr. Bourdain!

I'm curious about the taco truck food. Is "tripas" tripe or chitterlings?
Tripe taco I can handle. I don't know about chitterling tacos.
