Frozen, Breaded Clam Strips

Anyone have any idea where I can locate frozen, breaded clam strips? Our Smart & Final used to have them several years ago, but no luck now. I'd love to find them in WLA, Long Beach or OC, but I'd drive a tad further if I had to.

  1. I've never tried them, but I've seen them at Santa Monica Seafood on Colorado & 12th Street in Santa Monica.

      1. Do you only want them to carry what you want :-)
They have them at Howe's Market on Huntington in Arcadia, or they always used to, I haven't been there in a few months. There used to be a wholesale seafood place in OC that carried them, I cannot remember the name.
Just about any diner and most family restaurants in the northeast serve them as either an appetizer or an entree, often the frozen type, not freshly breaded, so someone must like them besides the OP!

Actually, I don't like them at all, but my husband loves them. He still tells stories from his childhood about an all-you-can-eat restaurant with fried clam night.

I thought it would be fun to find them as a surprise. SM Seafood is quite close to where I work, so I might take a run over there to look. Thanks!
