Spots for Kids?

I have my two nieces coming into town next weekend - ages 8 and 5. Looking for some restaurants suggestions for both brunch and dinner that are kid friendly but still good food that adults would enjoy. They are kind of picky eaters so it has to be somewhat straight forward food.

What neighborhood? I like Florent in the meatpacking district, and they have a kids' menu. Or at least they did the last time I was there.

We will be in the Rockefeller center area on Saturday doing the holiday thing, so any good dinner spots around there would be appreciated. Friday night we could go anywhere, though I live in the west village so somewhere in the vicinity would be preferable.

If you're willing to have to scramble for a table, I find that City Bakery is generally a winner for kids and adults for lunch or brunch.
