McCutcheon's Jam Mail Order - Excellent!

  • 4

Not sure I have ever given these guys a plug before. Big bottles of really tasty jam for reasonable $. Great holiday present:

Even their goofy, slightly cludgy web-site is kind of cute. All the jams are good. The black raspberry is particularly amazing.

  1. Funny you should mention them: I just got their holiday mailer today. I'm a big fan of the lemon raspberry marmalade myself. It's super cheap for the quality, although the shipping (to California) is expensive. And yeah, the website is sweetly amateurish.

Anyone have any other recs? I'm tempted by the juice sweetened versions -- any comments?

      I think I'd definitely prefer cheaper product to a fancy-schmancy website :)

I'm not a bit fan of Juice sweetened preserves. To me the slightly icky taste of the grape juice ruins the taste. What's the diff if your jam is sweetened with Cane juice (sugar) or grape juice (sugar).

My hubby and I have been buying McCutcheons from a local farm store for years. We buy it online when the farm store closes for the season. Especially love their horseradish mustard, bread and butter pickles, mild bbq sauce, chow chow and chow relish.
