Traditional christmas dinner in the city?

l

All my family ( 5 of us ) are going to be together this christmas, cramped into my itty bitty apartment..I'd love to cook, but space is a MAJOR issue. So I have been trying to find a Good, hopefully traditional, inexpensive to reasonably priced, ( since I am footing the bill ,yikes! ) place to have christmas dinner.... it does not have to be fancy , just good food. Are diners a good option? Do most places, other than chinese close for the holiday ...its my first in the city....Any suggestions? Thank you so much Lisa

Check out Tea and Sympathy. I'm not sure if they're open on Christmas Day, but if they are, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more traditional dinner.

About dot com has a page listing places that are serving Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, so check that out. Most will be serving a not-cheap prix fixe though. Hotels are your best bet. Good luck.

Here's a list of some options:

Note that the list includes both restaurants open for Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Dinner. I would call to clarify if you are interested in a particular restaurant.
