Best Latkes??

Hello all...I'm looking to pick up some latkes tonight for Hanukkah dinner (I don't feel like going through the trouble of making them myself!) and wanted to find out whom has the best latkes to-go? Whole Foods? Bristol Farms? Any particular restaurant? I'm in West Hollywood. Thank you!

    1. Picked up some today from Charlie's Delicatessen on Pico. They were pretty good, but ended up making some myself as well!

      1. Whom has the best latkes? My mom! (okay, I'm a nice Jewish boy - I had to say that)

Second to my mom's, Nate'n Al makes very good latkes.

The best latkes are from Clementine. Fantastic!

        2. I can tell you where not to get them from - Nate N' Al - had one last night and it was inedible - shockingly bad! It had the consistency of a shredded tire.

          1. i've been eating the frozen ones from Trader Joes and they are not bad at all. i'll try Amy's!

TJ's are indeed tasty-- one of the things I can't stand in a potato latke is too much matzo meal, which turns the thing mealy and unpalatable. TJ's latkes are heavy on the potato and onion and light on the rest. Great in a pinch.

Never knew that TJ's had latkes.. saw the box last night ( after reading this thread ) 8 latkes for $2.19.. popped them in the oven and not bad.. actually pretty good. 140 calories and 6 grams of fat for 2 latkes. must not be made by a jewish nana.. lol

Charlies delicatessen on pico. He will make them for you or sell you the batter. Also while you are there pick up some of his merquez sausages, they are great.
