Generally, the pho tai is pretty good, although the first time was a bit of a disaster. Perhaps it was because that was just after they opened. Anyhow, the food is good. The entertainment is questionable. On one of the widescreen TV's, they were showing a Bee Gees reunion concert. Eating pho while listening to "Staying Alive" somehow doesn't quite match. Who knows? Between the tired appointments and the lackadaisical service, I keep expecting to find some reason not to like Pho 79, but the pho is SOOOOO good and SOOOO cheap. Just about the best.
