Best Steak Tartare in LA ?

IMHO, the Polo Lounge, they let you choose your ingredients and how much of each, it's an entree not an app IMO, You eat all of it yourself, your done, plus it's so good I refuse to share it, pig that I am.

      Second this. For an Ethiopian interpretation, the kitfo at Meals By Genet is stellar.

        I love it at the Grill in Beverly Hills. Classic style and the meat is excellent quality.

      1. i'm a huge fan of the buffalo tartare at saddle peak lodge, at least while warren schwartz was presiding. do they still do that up there? or has he brought it over to whist?

          Peppone in Brentwood. Huge portion using filet with great flavor

        2. Well I've not had it, but I was impressed with the photo of the steak tartare from Cut in this review:


          Under the picture he writes that it's the second best one he's ever had.

          1. I am a great fan of the version served at mISTRAL IN sTUDIO cITY (ACTUALLY sHERMAN oAKS). You can get an appetizer version, a whole ordcer or split a whole order for dinner with your dining companion. Served with sizzling hot pomme frite. May be the best I've had since the "old days" at the Rangoon Racquet Club in Beverly Hillos.
