Rossini at Burger Bar - Mandalay Bay (Vegas)??

Has anyone tried the Rossini at Burger Bar? I am tempted to try it, but $60 is a bit steep for a burger...

Rossini $60.00
Kobe beef, sautéed foie gras, shaved truffles, Madeira sauce, on onion bun
Named after a XIX th century Italian composer whose love for fine food was legendary.
The preparation always includes foie gras, truffles and a rich brown sauce, in this case, Madeira.

  1. Honestly, it has always sounded ridiculous. I wonder how many they sell. The normal burgers at Burger Bar are rich enough! DB Brasserie (Wynn) has the famous DB NY Burger - 9 oz. of sirloin stuffed with braised short ribs, foie gras and black truffle, served on a parmesan bun, with french fries, for "only" $32. My stepmom had that once and it looked really rich, but I didn't taste it.

Maybe I am the oddball but I like their Kobe burger the least -- usually not so flavorful-- the sirloin is always better. Have tried them all even the turkey one with cranberry (odd but yummy)

    2. I have never even been tempted. I do quite like the sirloin and angus burgers there however. If you succumb you should definitely post a review.
