Abacus or York Street

Hello Texas Chow-hounds,
I'm an SF person here for work for a couple of days and need to take a colleague to dinner. Which would you pick? Abacus or York Street? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Food is substantially better at York Street. Food is better there. And it is also better than Abacus at Lola, Bijoux, Fearings and Craft. I'd pick any of those for food over Abacus.

If you're going on a weeknight, then hit Abacus and do the tasting menu. If you're going on a weekend I'd still recommend Abacus, but the tasting menu will be unavailable.

Try the crispy pork belly. Good Lord...

Unless you're looking for a cozy dinner with your colleague, I'd pick Abacus.

But I think there are much better choices, but I guess what those are depends on who your colleague is and what he/she likes.

Thanks for the help. I helped train my colleague for a while and this is supposed to be a nice dinner to thank her for her effort. She likes good food - not a picky eater - but is open to and hasn't been to either. The only other more upscale place I've been to in Dallas is Lola which I liked. I don't think either of us particularly care if it's the coolest place in town. I'm aiming for the best food option, or in the top 5. If you have other better food options, please let me know.
