Any recommendations on a fabulous brunch spot with a great atmosphere? I'd also love to be able to make reservations ahead of time...only trouble is I need them for the weekend of the 15th! Your help is greatly appreciated! THANKS!

I highly recommend: The Smith or Morandi

The Smith is serving brunch already? How was it?

Yes...it was fantastic. We had: Alsatian Pizza, French Toast with Maple Butter and Caramalized Bananas and the Potato Waffle. Everything was excellent and the service didn't have any "new restaurant kinks." Highly recommended.

Alsatian pizza = Alsatian flammekueche aka tarte flambee? Essentially a flatbread with cream and bacon and onions?

Did you happen to notice if they include your drink in the price of your entree (like they do at Jane and Neptune Room)?

I think I know where I'm headed for brunch this weekend...

Wow, you're spot-on with the Alsatian Pizza...it was delicious. Since I went on Saturday, a drink was not included with my meal, but a drink is included on Sundays. The prices here are totally legit, as well.

How large is your party? This will definitely affect your ability to get a reservation; I would use OpenTable but keep in mind that some restaurants restrict OT for parties greater than a certain number.

For atmosphere, my favorite would have to be Balthazar.

I'd call Balthazar or Pastis right away -- they accept reservations by phone and are not on OpenTable.

You might want to check out Provence. Had a yummy brunch there this weekend, the rooms are beautiful, and you can reserve on OT.
